How do you let the community know about the ways that senior citizens and adults with disabilities can be provided without charges help with many of the daily challenges that they face?

  • Hometown Helpers recruits, trains and assigns vounteers who will work to empower neighbors to deal with challenges that might otherwise cause them difficult problems.
  •
  • Hometown Helpers provides families and individuals a connection to the services of the volunteers who are ready to be of assistance.
  •
  • Hometown Helpers has received the endorsement of the Town of Mount Hope and the Village of Otisville, which constitutes the service area of the program. Phone calls to reach the Hometown Helpers can be made to either the municipality office.
  • Hometown Helpers is  a partner with the Orange County Office of the Aging.
  • Hometown Helpers is a partner with Jewish Family Services.
  •
  • Hometown Helpers conducts fund-raising to pay for the costs that are associated with the recruitment, training, assignment and supervision of volunteers.

Simply placing this information on this website is certainly not the answer to our  opening question!

Many already do know about the Hometown Helpers program.  There may be some way(s) to actually inform the remaining uninformed residents of the Town of Mount Hope (which includes the Village.)

If you have any suggestions, contact us by email mail@uccnewvernon.org Thank you.
